God is so great that if He did not hide, you could not avoid Him. He hides so that we can hide. If God did not hide, He would be inescapable. But God has willed it so that we seek Him, not be condemned to Him.

On His side we are fine. It is our side that is clouded. The world is corrupt and broken. Even if He bestows, it remains to be seen if we can receive it. Right?
