Brief introduction to "The Man Who Was Thursday

The seven members of the Central Anarchist Council are named after the seven days of the week. The young poet Gabriel Syme manages to infiltrate their midst as Thursday, and thus begins a frenzied nightmare full of paradoxes and surprises. With this unique tale of criminals and sleuths, Chesterton has written a detective novel that ranks among the classics of its kind. - J. Wigman
