Bitter aftertaste

Attractive fruit
Full, colorful and mature
As Adam I fall
In longing sigh
Ready for the picking
A tasty bite
But bitter aftertaste
Drowned out happiness
Unseen rot,
Brings shame
Now I stand naked
Before my God
I denounce her
The pernicious pleasure
Forgot my choice
Let it go
And pay the price
For my deed
Older and changed
I leave paradise

What is broken
You make new
Let me rise
In your resurrection
